Holiday Living's Everett Grand is where you go when you want a genuinely full tree with impressive lighting options without crossing into premium territory. At 62 inches wide, this thing takes up space—but that's the point. You get 1,200 dual-color LEDs with nine different lighting modes (twinkle, fade, color transitions, the works), all controlled by a foot pedal so you're not doing yoga under the tree. It's a solid middle-ground option that delivers on fullness and versatility.

What we like
  • Genuinely full profile even before you start fluffing—this tree has presence
  • Nine lighting modes give you way more options than most trees at this price
  • Foot pedal control is surprisingly convenient
  • 35% PE content adds nice texture and dimension
  • Three-section setup is straightforward
Where it could improve
  • LEDs aren't replaceable—if a strand dies outside the 3-year warranty, you're stuck
  • Lights are very bright with no dimmer option
  • That 62-inch width needs real floor space—measure first
  • Some stand quality issues reported
  • Floor models at stores don't do it justice—expect lots of branch clumps that need fluffing

What You're Actually Getting

The Everett Grand's standout feature is how full it is. That 62-inch diameter on the 7.5-foot version isn't just a number on a spec sheet—this is a legitimately wide, substantial tree. The 3,189 branch tips mix about 35% molded PE needles with PVC fill, which gives it more depth and texture than an all-PVC tree without the premium pricing.

A heads-up if you're judging this tree by the floor model at the store: it probably looks clumpier and less impressive than it should. Store displays rarely get the fluffing attention they need, so you'll see lots of branch clumps where sections haven't been properly spread out. Even in that sad state, it still manages to look full and appealing—which tells you something about the tree's potential. Get it home, spend the time spreading those branches out properly, and it'll look significantly more vibrant and full than what you saw in the store.

The three-section hinged setup is easy enough. The "Sure-Lit Pole" system they advertise is just their branded name for standard trunk wiring—every mid-range tree does this now. But it works fine and you only need to plug in once, which is the whole point.

The Lighting Situation

This is where the Everett Grand earns its keep: 1,200 dual-color LEDs with nine different modes. You can do steady warm white, steady multicolor, fading between the two, twinkle effects, alternating patterns—basically every lighting mood you might want during the season. The foot pedal control means you can switch modes without crawling under branches, which is one of those small conveniences that actually matters.

The lights are bright. Like, really bright. Great if you want impact, less great if you prefer subtle. And there's no dimmer, so what you see is what you get. The bigger issue is that the LEDs aren't user-replaceable. If a strand goes out, you can't just swap bulbs like the old days. Holiday Living covers it with a 3-year warranty, which is something, but after that you're potentially looking at an expensive lighting problem with no easy fix.

Space & Setup

That 62-inch width is both the tree's strength and its main limitation. You get a full, traditional Christmas tree shape that actually fills a room, but you need the floor space for it. If you're used to slimmer profiles, this will feel noticeably wider—some people were surprised by just how much space it takes up. Measure your room before you buy.

Assembly is mostly straightforward, though there have been some reports of stand issues—specifically the tree sliding down in the base. The four-leg metal stand is pretty basic. It works for most people, but it's not the most robust stand out there. The tree comes with a 3-year warranty and is cUL safety listed, which is standard for this price range.

Who Should Buy This

The Everett Grand makes sense if you want a full tree with genuinely versatile lighting and you've got the floor space to let it breathe. The 35% PE content puts it in that sweet spot where you get some realistic texture without paying premium prices. It's not going to fool anyone into thinking it's a real tree, but it looks substantially better than all-PVC options.

This tree works for: People who want a traditional full tree with lots of lighting options, have the floor space for the width, and plan to use it for 3-5 years while it's covered by warranty. If you're willing to spend time fluffing it properly (which store displays definitely haven't done), you'll get a tree that looks vibrant and impressively full.

Skip it if: You need something that looks ultra-realistic (go for 50%+ PE trees), you're working with limited floor space (look at slim or pencil profiles), or the non-replaceable LEDs worry you for long-term ownership beyond the warranty period. Also skip if you want subtle lighting—these LEDs are bright and there's no dimming them down.
